GCPF Assessment Tool

SME financing – The tool is designed for client advisors, credit officers, and other financial experts. It allows them to:

  • conduct a reliable, time-efficient, and standardized review of environmental and social (E&S) risks in transactions with SME’s across all industry sectors, and
  • identify and prioritize transactions that require attention from E&S experts.
Note: Do not use this tool for transactions with large companies or for project-related transactions.

GCPF Categorization Tool

Project finance – The tool is designed for compliance officers, E&S risk officers, credit analysts, and other financial experts. It allows them to

  • conduct a reliable, time-efficient, and standardized E&S risk categorization for project finance and similar project-based lending transactions across all industry sectors, and
  • identify and prioritize medium- and high-risk transaction and
  • depending on the risk category, determine the level of E&S due diligence required for those transactions.
Note: Do not use this tool for transactions with large multinational companies.

GCPF Exclusion List Training

Learning to apply GCPF’ and industry relevant’s Exclusion List – The tool is designed for client advisors, compliance officers, credit analysts, E&S risk officers, and other financial experts. It allows them to

  • better understand and implement GCPF’ and industry relevant’s Exclusion List in their day to day activities, and
  • raise their awareness about severe E&S risk activities, and
  • test and validate their knowledge by receiving a certificate once the training completed.

The ESG Toolkit was developed by the Global Climate Partnership Fund (GCPF), managed by responsAbility Investments AG. The ESG Toolkit is made available for use by other financial institutions, with the objective to support the assessment and categorization of ESG risks.
